Cleaning Theaters

On good authority, rumor has it that Regal may cease the use of leaf blowers for cleaning the basic garbage from the auditorium floors. This change is mainly due to the amount of dust created which eventually lodges on surfaces, both vertical and horizontal… especially on screen surfaces in the vast number of movie houses that don’t have stage curtains.
Using the “Shirley Temple” brushes in and around the legs of seats is tricky and slow going work for removing fallen popcorn and other garbage. This change of method will only add more time to the labor costs.
Interestingly, the old movie palaces had an excellent wall plug-in vacuum system with a huge collection tank.
