APTOS, CA — Nickelodeon Theatres, based out of Santa Cruz, CA., is presenting classic movies on the big screen at our Aptos location about 10 minutes south of Santa Cruz.

The calendared series got its start in mid-March with “Rebel Without a Cause” and attendance has grown week by week with “Citizen Kane” and last week’s “Lawrence of Arabia”.

The current calendar has three remaining titles – “Casablanca”, “The Searchers” and “Roman Holiday”. With the success of the first set of films a second set is on the way featuring “Breakfast At Tiffany’s”, “A Shot In The Dark”, “On The Waterfront”, “You Only Live Twice” and several others.

All shows are at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, Sunday and holidays and all seats are just $6. For more information you may visit our website. or call 831-688-6541.

We’ve been fortunate thus far with the studios sending us their better 35mm prints and we have the ability to show the films in their proper aspect ratio (with a real curtain no less!) in our 500 seat theatre. We use real butter on our proudly-popped popcorn and we have a selection of bottled drinks and locally-made baked goods.

If you live in the area, or just visiting, we’d love to see you here!

Will these be shown in 35mm film or digital projection? Thanks for showing them in the Santa Cruz CA area. Many college people are in the area so they will come to watch the classics.
