BOSTON, MA — “Boston’s Movie Palaces”, a slide show and lecture, will be presented at the Boston Public Library, Copley Square, Boston on Thursday February 16 at 6PM, and at the Framingham Public Library, on Thursday February 23 at 7PM. The show was first presented to a capacity audience at the Thomas Crane Public Library in Quincy on January 10 and was very well received there.

The show is presented by Arthur Singer and Ron Goodman, authors of “Boston’s Downtown Movie Palaces”, a new book published last month by Arcadia Publishing as part of their popular Images of America series.

I attended the show at the Crane Library in Quincy MA on January 10th and was amazed at the public interest in it. The library had set out about 50 seats, but over 100 people showed up (on-time, too) filling the meeting room up to the walls. The presenters wisely provided for a great deal of audience participation and enthusiasm. The local newspaper even had a reporter there. It was a fun event.
