A later article in the Detroit Free Pressindicates hat the Maple is being taken over by a new operator that will close it in April for renovations and then reopen it:

Interesting. Local operator will take it over but films will be booked by Clearview which currently operates on the East Coast. Clearview books many arthouse films, so audience members will be pleased.

Are they thinking to lodge a case and have it again on lease?

Does anyone have an email address for the theater? Trying to get a used concession stand, please email me info. Thanks.
