Three 80-year-old theaters close in Tokyo’s Asakusa District leaving the area without any cinemas

TOKYO, JAPAN — The last movie houses in Asakusa had their final screenings the other week. They had survived the air raids of World War II but couldn’t sustain business in today’s market.
