SANTA CLARITA, CA — Frustrated by few independent film choices in their nearby cinemas, Santa Clarita residents have to drive to other areas of Los Angeles County for a wider selection. The dissolution of numerous redevelopment agencies hasn’t made it any easier. They’re hoping enough interest will either lure an arthouse chain to the area or make the local chains use a few screens for independent films.
