Well those “Shake ‘n Share” popcorn containers ought to add a buck or two more to the already outrageous price of popcorn. Then there is that 500,000 watt Dolby Atmos sound system which according to the writer of the article is best experienced with ear plugs. I can hardly wait! Looking at movies at home is looking (and sounding!) better every day!

I agree that popcorn prices are outrageous but I’m looking forward to the introduction of Dolby Altmos sound. Dolby Altmos means many different tracks or points or sound throughout the auditorium. I’d doubt that a theater needs to set it too loud. As to movies at home, movies are supposed to be larger than life on large screens, not TV screens.

Digital Cinema is in reality big screen tv and complete with commercials. So it is better to stay at home. And at home you can mute commercials!
