OWOSSO, MI — The Lebowsky Center, built in 1926 as the Capitol Theatre and nearly destroyed by fire in 2007, will officially reopen on May 9 when the Owosso Community Players present “Shrek the Musical.”

While the Lebowsky Center was being rebuilt, their shows were staged in the auditorium of Owosso Middle School and smaller productions were staged in the Studio Theatre which the Owosso Community Players developed next door to the Lebowsky Center.
