Are you planning to visit an historic theatre soon? Or thinking about a summer theatre road trip? Check out these wonderful historic theatres featured on Huffington post.

The Eureka Theatre, in Eureka California, a beautiful old theater built in 1939, was added to the National Registry of Historic Places in January 2010.

Huffington Post also features the County Theatre in Doylestown, PA. On the opposite side of the USA as the Eureka Theatre, it was built in 1938 and is now preserved by a local non-profit.

The best part about the Huffington Post slide show is you can add your own favorite theatre to the article like the fan showing off the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, MA! Mark Harker shared the photo of The Pickwick Theatre, and old Vaudeville theater also on the National Register of Historic Places.

Marketing and audience development are challenges for historic theatres. Features like The Huffington Post story help create an understanding of the relevance and value of these precious spaces. Share your theatre’s story, like the Star Theatre by Jeanne Mozier. Located in Berckley Springs, West Virginia, the Star has been showing movies continuously since 1928!

Theatre Historical Society of America: THS celebrates, documents, and promotes the architectural, cultural, and social relevance of America’s historic theatres. Learn more about theatres on our website www.historictheatres.org
