An updateon Downtown Ashland, Ohio’s Schine’s Theater

An update was given on the downtown Ashland, Ohio’s Schine’s Theater restoration project, Tuesday at Ashland University’s John C. Myers Convocation Center off of Claremont Avenue

Ashland Schine’s Theater Organization Board of Directors Vice President, Bill Sample, spoke along with other organization directors.

The Ashland Schine’s Theatre Organization has taken on the responsibility of restoring the Historic Schine’s Theatre on Center Street, just down from Washington Street, to its original condition as it was on opening day, March 27th, 1942.

The theatre will be returned to a single screen and stage venue to be used as it was intended many years ago.

Completion date is expected to be in 2019.
