Bway: I saw the same show on the Travel Channel and found it very fascinating! Supposedly, the ghost’s name is Joe and he died of a heart attack some 50 years ago while walking up the steps to the projection room as he was the resident projectionist then! Paranormal folks came to the theatre and after telling the owners the ghost’s name was Joe they then learned the name of the projectionist….coincidence?
To All CT Members: Please cast a vote for the Rogers Theater each day until May 31 @ www.refresheverything.com/rogerstheater
Mike: Great photos of what looks like an art deco building with a great vertical art deco marquee. Sorry that it isn’t still standing as this theatre was “Nashville’s last grand old theatre”.
fotomom: I just alerted a theatre/architect friend in Charlotte about your recent post. He was involved in bringing Our Town Cinema to Davidson NC. And if the Temptations have a website with an email address I will try and contact the member of the group who is originally from Monroe.
Hal: The Rogers Theater owner, Gary Kulas is waiting to hear from you as you didn’t provide your email address in your message or on your profile page! Thanks!!
Didn’t find a history link on the official website….wonder if it has an organ?

Warner Lady: Great article! Congratulations!
creed: Thanks for the Dobb update…you’d think he would want to contribute to this hometown theatre cause!
Don: Nice photos of the new marquee so just perhaps Mr.Dobbs, hometown boy took a second look at his hometown cinema and decided to help. He may have even read our emails and CT posts! If so, hope he mentions it on his daily radio show. Someone from CT should call in!
Is this theater still standing and waiting to be restored?
Yes, very colorful and full of acrobatic talent. BTW, the Warner has never closed in its long history in Erie PA on State Street just blocks from the shores of Lake Erie.
This theatre is a wonderful small theatre with a dedicated group of theater folks. A must-see with an amazing renovation story!
Yes, another sad story!
tisloews: Yes, sadly another has been lost though its never easy to see them go for whatever reason or reasons!

Is anyone else having difficulty viewing the photos that have a “pool” number at the end? Yet the"cinemasignage" ones can be viewed?
