Address: Cusseta Road & Alpine Dr Columbus, GA 31903
I have it listed until 1965 and 1968 it was gone. Check the aerials out.
Uploaded aerial from 1969.. It looks like the property sat empty for all long time before it was redeveloped.
Here is more information
Here is the correct address: Mt Idaho Grade Rd & Grangeville Salmon Rd, Grangeville, Idaho, 83530
I have it listed in Mt Vernon 1958-1970
Uploaded some pictures from the Blue Moon’s Facebook page.
So what are the new owners going to do with? It’s to bad that it could not be reopened.
More information here but it does not mention the name change.
The Limelite is gone for good!!! It has been demolished finally!!
I uploaded the photo, some members might not have Facebook.
Here is the LINK
That is a pretty good ideal!! You combine the diner/projection booth/concession stand all in one building. The faculty could be used in the winter months!! A few historical overviews I have done, that was done back in the 1950’s-60’s also!!
In 1965 the Amite Drive-in is listed only. The only good way you can figure it out. Is go the location/area and start asking/researching them. Unless you know somebody that went to them from back in the day!! The theatre books are good “guides” but…
That information came from Yearbook of Motion Pictures – 1956
koosmal..have pictures or ads to share?
According my listing in 1956 there was Mixon’s and Amite Drive-ins.
There was a South Drive-In that needs to added to CT also.
More information herefrom NY Drive-Ins
Thanks for the correction..there is no listing for the Duke City Drive-In on CT. It should be added.
I believe they are open now per there FB page.
I checked there website and it does not list a street address. I checked on Facebook and PM a message asking.
