Built in 1912, the Rialto opened as the 308 seat Crawford Theater. The Rialto showed movies until 1979 when it was sold and used as a church. In March of 1994, the Rialto was purchased by the Bradford County Regional Arts Council (BCRAC). BCRAC renovated the theater and it is now a 150 seat movie and live performance theater.

The Rialto Theater is one of three theaters that have been renovated by the Bradford County Regional Arts Council. The other two are the Keystone and the Sayre theater. BCRAC has a website where you can see the three theaters and read the theaters history.
