The short-lived Peotone Theater, located on N. 2nd Street, opened in 1945 and closed in 1951. The theater became a Catholic church for many years. By 2016 it was in use as a barber shop.

The Film Daily Yearbook’s 1941 and 1943 do not list this theatre but it is listed in the 1950 F.D.Y.B. as having 350 seats.
I live in Peotone andwould love to find out more about this theater.
Using Bing’s overhead view it appears that 114 N Second St is a more accurate address than 216.
