The Capitol, located on McLeansboro’s Northside Square, opened in 1926 and closed in 1956. It still stands today, but its current use is not known.

Any additional information on the Capitol would be appreciated.

The 1950 edition of Film Daily Yearbook gives a seating capacity of 400.

This is the Capitol Theater building in 2000.
