The Kee Theatre located on North Main at W. Center Street opened in 1940 seating 300. The auditorium roof was constructed with laminated arched wood beams. The theatre has been restored and retained much of its 1940 Art Moderne style. It is now owned and operated by a non-pofit group called the Kee Civic Theatre.

There is a little animated drawing of the Kee on the city website:

Did it survive the tornado tonight? Was it damaged?

Current commercial shot in and around Kiester shows the facade of the Kee. Must be a bad commercial. Don’t remember what it was for and I’ve seen it a couple of times. Definitely had some relationship to the slang term kiester.

The commercial is for Preparation H. That’s the relationship.
