This IMAX theatre, which was inside the Cedar Point amusement park, was the only IMAX theatre in northern Ohio, until the Omnimax opened in the late 1990’s at the Great Lakes Science Center. The Cedar Point IMAX Cinema brought in a different IMAX film every season-one year the theatre had shown the Rolling Stones' IMAX concert film. Cedar Point closed the IMAX theatre at the start of the 2003 season and is currently using the theatre space for a Peanuts-themed ice skating show.

The IMAX was closed and not sure when it closed, I was there this year and the theatre was converted to live stage show theatre. ago.
