North Grand Cinema

Located in the North Grand Mall the North Grand 5 opened in 1996. It ws operated by Cinemark Theatres with a seating capacity of 2,189. It started as a first run house but was delegated to a sub run discount house. Admissions ranged from 1.00 to 1.50 depending on what day of the week you attend. It was closed on April 19, 2014.

It was taken over by an independent operator and was renovated and reopened as the North Grand Cinema in December 2017 as a first-run theatre.

Theater was closed in 2008 if memory serves me correctly. The small Cinemark 2 screen theater was closed at the same time.

The North Grand Cinema, which is the name is now goes by, should be put back in the open category. The theatre reopened in December 2017 under new ownership and a major renovation. http://www.amestrib.com/news/20171129/north-grand-cinema-to-open-friday-during-final-renovations
