So far, all I know about this theater is that it is listed in multiple Los Angeles Times advertisements in 1923 for theaters showing Paramount pictures. It is listed in the Film Daily Yearbook 1926 edition with an address 625 S. Main Street.

There’s a series of photos from that same shoot that goes further south….I wonder what Dave’s Music Box was…a music store, bar, theater? Anyone know? Here’s a picture:

I’m not familiar with that building so I can only guess what it was used for. The name could imply a record store or a musical instrument store. It might also have been a bar/tavern.

Well, you can see what it is now from my current photo of the spot…I guess we could go get a pint of whiskey and sit in that parking lot. Nobody would probably even notice.
