The Roosevelt Theater was one of the larger neighborhood houses. The theater opened in 1924 seating 1,200. Eleven years later with a packed house the Roosevelt Theatre was lost to a huge fire on June 25, 1935, fortunately there was no life lost.
The front section of the building remains today, with a plaque on the facade stating ‘Roosevelt Theatre – 1923.

The building is still there, minus the marquee. You can still read “Roosevelt Theater” engraved in the stone on the upper front of the building.
A Page theater organ was installed in the Roosevelt Theater in 1927.
Someone locked in the wrong google street view. It is locked in on Charles Street instead of S. Meridian. The theatre building can be seen on the google street view.
Also in the header it is listed as demolished. From the street view it is still standing.
