East Road Cinema

Listed as the Electric Theatre in the Bioscope Annual 1914 it was re-named the East Road Cinema in the 1915 edition of Bioscope Annual.

It is listed in the Kinematograph Yearbook at least from 1937 through to 1940. At that time the proprietor was D.F. Lintine and the closest station given for delivery of films is Old Street (tube). By 1944 it has disapeared from listings, so it could have been a casualty of war-time bombing.

Any further information on this ‘lost’ cinema would be appreciated.
