Further information on the Hoover Theater and a recent photograph can be seen here.
Also, the Film Daily Yearbook lists a Hoover Theater at “Oregon Ave.” seating 300. I can’t seem to get an Oregon Avenue to map on Google in Detroit. Has Oregon Avenue been renamed? I can’t imagine there were two Hoover Theaters in Detroit.
There is an Oregon Street in Detroit. If this Hoover Theater closed in 1943, maybe another Hoover Theater opened on Oregon Street at a later date.
