Strand Theatre

Viewing: Photo | Street View

Listed in the 1944, 1945, 1951 and 1956 versions of the Film Daily Yearbook, it was just down the street from the Paramount Theatre (aka Broadway Theatre).

The Strand Theatre was demolished in the mid-1990’s.

This theatre was renamed the Baronet about 1952, as was the Ocean in Asbury Park, when Walter Reade did major renovations to most of his theatres, and the chaser Baronet signs from Reade’s Baronet in NYC went to the two new Baronets, one to each theatre.

This was right north of the Paramount, but the address is just a large empty space now – all covered in grass.
