News About This Theater

Built on the grounds of the abandoned Pontiac Siverdome in Pontiac, Michigan, it opened October 10, 2003 with “Kill Bill, Vol 1” and “Duplex”. It opened as a single screen with plans proposed for five screens. It closed in 2005.

The drive-in reopened briefly in 2006, and then closed again until April 2010, when it was reopened by the company who operate the new US 23 Drive-In.

It was closed on July 12, 2011.

The Silverdome Drive-in Theater is now owned and operated by The Theater Group. The hotline phone number is 248-788-7053 and the official website is www.thetheatergroup.com The Silverdome Drive-in is in now way affiliated with the US 23 Drive-in Theater.

The Silverdome Drive-in theater is now closed. The final day of operations was Tuesday July 12, 2011. The owners of the drive-in equipment are now looking for another site to move the drive-in equipment.

This, along with the Silverdome, has been demolished and replaced with two Amazon warehouses.
