This is a vintage photo showing the Rialto Theater.
A Pilcher theater organ opus 1090 size 2/12 was installed in the Rialto Theater in 1921.
this picture is NOT the Rialto but it is the LYRIC Theater. Perhaps the Rialto predated the Lyric at this location and I cannot attest to that… but this is the building that was built as the Lyric Theater which is currently under an extensive restoration project.
The Rialto Theatre is listed at 1923 3rd Avenue N. in the 1928 Birmingham telephone directory, so it was quite a few blocks north of the downtown area.
