The Grove is a wonderfully designed multiplex in a Neo-Deco style. Just like the movie palaces had in the past, there is a lofty large foyer, with a grand sweeping staircase, very plush, very ornate. Upstairs is what could be described as the mezzanine lobby where the auditoriums are located. Here there are large photographs displayed on the walls of former Los Angeles movie theatres.
The auditoriums are black box style, state of the art, with large screens, surround sound and luxury stadium seating.
The theatre is next to the Farmers Market, which is a good place for lunch and just a short walk along the road is the Silent Movie Theatre.

Rick Caruso was recently interviewed in the LA Times regarding his new mall in Glendale. He made a snide comment about seeing only eighty year olds the first time he went to the Farmers Market. I’m not one of his fans.
This is a July Close-up shot.
It was a twenty minute drive on a recent Saturday night from Third and Fairfax to Beverly. The theater and the mall have created a traffic nightmare.
Hang on while I get some kleenex.
I’m trying to get to Canter’s. A little empathy, please.
And I’m trying to stay on topic which is becoming very difficult lately.
A photo of the Grove can be seen here.
It’s 85 degrees today-ready to move here? Nice photos.
good theater. kind of overpriced though. I’d much rather pay an extra $1-$1.50 and go to the Arclight or The Landmark for the reserved seating.
Theater is now reserved seating – but still labeled as a Pacific & not an ArcLight.
