The Roxy opened on December 25, 1935. After many years of showing films, it closed in 1971. The building was destroyed by fire in 2001.

The Three Stooges Meet Hercules with Samson Burke as Hercules, was released in February of 1962. Samson playing Hercules. That must have been a challenging role.

I think any time you’re acting against the Three Stooges your thespian skills are tested.

For some reason or another I remember seeing that movie while in high school at the Norside along with a bunch of track team. Being a three stooge fan and missing seeing them in person at the Loew’s this was second best.
