Operating since at least 1941, when it is listed with 800 seats, the Mayfair Theatre was part of the Franklin & Herschorn circuit in the early 1960’s.

Famous Players took over this theatre in 1970 but no idea as to a closing date.

Next door to the Mayfair was the Dundas Theatre. I used to go there when I was a kid for weekend matinees. I remember that it had wooden floors.
