Built on the site of a Kwiksave supermarket, the 5-screen Reel Cinema opened on 12th July 2007. Seating capacities in the screens range from 100 to 300 and all screens have Dolby digital sound.

It was taken over by the Odeon Theatres chain on 4th November 2011, and re-named Odeon.

The Reel Cinema at Newark-on-Trent was designed by the architectural firm NBDA Architects, which has photos of the project on its web site.
