Located in the heart of Amsterdam’s ‘red light’ district on what is considered the gay street, the Adonis Gay Cinema has been operating since the early 1990’s. Seating is provided for around 80 on a single floor.

Why not???
Because I believe that it violates the basic reason for the existence of Cinema Treasures.
The Adonis is not a theatre in any sense of the word. It’s simply a converted space where men can meet other men, have sex on the premises, and is probably owned by members of the underworld. I don’t think that the founders of Cinema Treasures were thinking of such places when they wrote this: http://cinematreasures.org/about/
Is this place are safe? If YES I love to visit this cinema.I always travel in amsterdam but I dont see this cinema. I like to make sure the next time I travel in amasterdam i will visit the cinema.
This day of age how can a person be so biased? A Cinema Treasure to one might not be to another, but I don’t think in the mission statement is says that we should leave out a theatre because it is an adult, or gay or whatever type of theatre it is. I don’t think the site was meant to express ones political views or their biased opinions. This is 2009 step into the real world.
