The Electric Theater was the first movie theater in Eldon, and first showed silent movies before converting to talkies. It was owned and operated by Oscar Dowell in the 20’s, and later owned by Tom and Connie Edward in the 30’s. It was located on Maple Street,just north of the corner of First and Maple. I believe it closed in the 30’s.

The Electric Theater is listed in 1935 as closed with 500 seats.
