The Plaza Theatre dates back to at least 1926. It closed as a movie theater in the early 1970s. This is now known as the Paris Community Theatre.

Here is is a photo of the Paris Community Theater.
A Reuter theater organ opus 194 size 2/5 was installed in the Plaza Theater in 1926.
A 1984 image of Plaza Theatre when it was still a movie theater and before the marquee had been removed.
This theatre is featured in the 2009 Texas Travel Guide, a photo of the exterior.

The Plaza lost it’s marque in a storm. I would love to see it back, along with the neon that used to go around the arches. The plumbing needs replacing(it’s the origional from the early 1900’s). It also needs roof repair.
The Paris Community Theatre is doing the best it can with donations.
Anyone want to make a donation???
