Empire Cinema

Located in the east London inner city district of Bethnal Green. The Empire Picturedrome opened in 1913. Seating was provided on a single floor.

It had independent operators throughout its cinematic life. In around 1946 it was renamed Empire Cinema. In 1955, it was re-named Premier Cinema. It was closed on 26th December 1959 with Joel McCrea in "Gunsight Ridge" and John Payne in "Hidden Fear". The building was demolished and an office block name Alfred Jacob House has been built on an extended site.
