The Cinema was opened in 1910 and was located at Camberwell Gate, an area to the north of Camberwell in southeast London. It was operated by Mr. G.A. True. It closed in 1915, possibly due to World War I conditions.

The building was later used as a film studio. The building was totally destroyed by German bombs during World War II.
