Opened in 1923. Although looking more like a cross between an Alpine lodge and a Craftsman bungalow — a sloping entrance-way floor and old ticket window, acoustical paneling inside, and a listing in the 1951 Film Daily Yearbook are clues that the little theater once showed movies to this tiny community tucked in the redwoods. The Mountain Community Theatre was originally known as the Ben Lomond Theatre.

Here is a website for this theater.
“Park Hall [the building which houses the theater] was established by the Brooks family as a public trust in 1923, for the residents of Ben Lomond. The hall was built out of an old stable, and the stage was rolled on logs from the park across the street. Park Hall was once a local movie theater noted for its very hard seating.”
