Although looking more like a cross between an Alpine lodge and a Craftsman bungalow — a sloping entranceway floor and old ticket window, acoustical paneling inside, and a listing in the 1951 Film Daily Yearbook are clues that the little theater once showed movies to this tiny community tucked in the redwoods. The Mountain Community Theatre was originally known as the Ben Lomond.
