Located on Coate Street, a tiny street, running parallel to, but hidden from the main Hackney Road. The Sebright Picture Palace was opened in around 1908 by Frank Stebbings. It was housed in a converted building, which for several years previously had been used as a music hall, known as Sebright Music Hall.

It was closed in 1930, never converting to talking pictures.
