Another one of the early downtown theatres. The Elite Theatre was opened August 6, 1904, with seating listed at 320. It was located on N. Brady Street between 3rd Street and 4th Street. It was renamed Unique Theatre May 1, 1905 presenting vaudeville. On April 15, 1911 it was renamed Majestic Theatre. In January 1916 it returned to the Unique Theatre name. By May 1916 it had been renamed Strand Theatre and it was closed in March 1917 to be converted into retail use.
The theatre has been demolished and is now a parking lot.
