Mayfaire Town Center Cinemas 16

Opened in 2004 as a one of the largest megaplex theatres in the greater Wilmington area which is next to Mayfaire Town Center, one of the largest shopping centers in New Hanover County. The Mayfaire Town Center 12 was first operated and was managed by Charlotte based Consolidated Theatres.

In 2007,the cinema was acquired by Regal Cinemas, and the screen number has been increased to 16.

All auditoriums featured state-of-the-art Dobly digital sound and full stadium seating.

This theater is slowly converting to digital. Auditoriums 1, 7, 8, and 16 are digital so far. A good friend of mine is a manager there.

NOTE: I live 3 miles from this theater and have been a regular since its opening in 2004. MAYFAIRE 16 has ALWAYS had 16 screens. I have no idea where 12 came from. Thank you for updating!

Not much into these Monster Theatres,but thanks for the shots.sure miss the old Twins.

Mayfaire Town Center Cinemas 16 was designed by the Charlotte, NC, architectural firm ADW Architects.
