Located near the Lord Gough public house on Plaistow Road. The West Ham Cinema opened in December 1912. It was closed in August 1932 for renovations, and re-opened on 4th September 1932 as the Savoy Cinema. It was closed on 21st August 1933, and remained empty until new owners took over in 1936, when it re-opened as the Endeavour Cinema, playing family films.
The Endeavour Cinema was closed in 1940, possibly due to conditions during World War II, and it never re-opened (The Lord Gough pub was destroyed by German bombs in 1941).
Later demolished, the Guinness Trust housing estate now stands on the site.
