Located in the Assembly Hall of the Castle Hotel, on the banks of the River Thames. The Castle Electric Cinema was opened in May 1910. It had a proscenium and there was a balcony at one end of the hall.
The Castle Electric Cinema was closed during World War I. It was converted into the Castle Hotel Ballroom. The building was still there in the late-1980’s, but was boarded up. It was later demolished.
