Originally the Commercial Road Chapel, it was converted into the Eastern Grand Central Theatre in 1911.
The Eastern Grand Central Theatre was closed as a cinema in 1921, and was converted into commercial premises.
Today a council housing estate stands on this stretch of Commercial Road.
