The Waycross Drive-In was opened in 1953, and parked 300 cars. It was owned in 1956 by United Theatre Ent. It would later become a Georgia Theatre Company drive-in. Don’t have a clue when it went dark hopefully someone else will.

Any address or photos?
I THINK it opened ABOUT 1950? Info I have says Georgia Theater Company of Atlanta had it open in 1967.
tisloews, I seem to remember a shipmate I knew who was from Waycross telling me that a bunch of different railroads crossed each other in this town so it was called Ways Cross which became Waycross. “Join the NAVY and lean all kinds of things!”
Chief Jensen
I think Pernell Roberts was from Waycross. And Burt Reynolds dad was the chief of police here i think that is what i was told.
This drive-in opened on June 5th, 1953 on the Brunswick Highway by Georgia Theatre Company.
Grand opening ad is on this page at View link
Mike,I found a SKYLINE DRIVE-in in Waycross and tracked it the best i could.I wonder if it changed names like SO Many have and became the U.S. One Drive-in there?
@Mike Rivest: If you look closely at the entire page, there is a section to the left of the page which details the “re-opening program” for the Waycross Drive-In. This was the season opening ad, and not a grand opening. It’s not always easy to tell the difference, but I’ll bet they were open at least as early as 1952.
Brunswick Hwy & S City Blvd, Waycross, GA 31501
The above address will map accurately to the location of the drive-in, which was on the north side of Brunswick Hwy west of S City Blvd.
Here is a 1961 aerial photo of the drive-in, courtesy of Earth Explorer and USGS.
Historic aerial photos indicate this drive-in was open as early as 1950.
I have another look at the newspaper, the oldest ad that I can find for it was on August 17th, 1950.
I found Waycross Drive-In ads for May 1950. Also found ads in 1949-50 for a Skyline Drive-In in Waycross.
