The Regal Cinema opened in 1939. Seating was provided in stalls and circle levels, and the proscenium was 30 feet wide. There was a cafe for the convenience of patrons. It was operated by the Caledodian Associated Cinemas chain.

Closed in the late-1960’s, it was converted into a furniture showroom, which remains open today.
