Regal Cinema

The Regal Cinema opened on 26th June 1939 with Errol Flynn in “The Dawn Patrol”. Seating was provided in stalls and circle levels, and the proscenium was 30 feet wide. There was a cafĂ© for the convenience of patrons. It was operated by Highland Cinema Co. Ltd. a subsidiary of the Caledonian Associated Cinemas Ltd. chain.

Closed in the late-1960’s, it was converted into a furniture showroom. By 2019 it had become a Co-Op Supermarket.
