The Capitol Theatre goes back to the Vaudeville era and then onto the movies. Seating over the years changed but in 1950 seating was listed at 499.

Sometime in the 1970’s the stage of the theatre was converted to a second screen seating 70. Seating is now listed at 539.

The theatre is owned by Beel Entertainment and shows first run attractions.
