The Carillon Theatre was opened in 1934 with Joan Crawford in “Dancing Lady”. It was located two doors away from the Byrd Theatre, and was a remodel of an existing brick building. It was operated by Wilmar & Vincent. Later perated by the Fabian Theaters chain in the early-1950’s. It was closed in 1958, and has been converted into retail use.
