Garden Valley Cinema

Ground breaking of the Garden Valley Cinema was October, 1971. It was a Jerry Lewis theater franchise. The grand opening was February 10, 1972. The first movie was “Ryan’s Daughter”, directed by David Lean. Original owners Don & Mary Horton ran Adult films for a time while still under the Jerry Lewis marquee.

Tom Moyer of Luxury Theaters bought the Cinema along with the Starlite in 1979. He later sold to Act III in 1989. It closed down sometime in 1998 or 1999.

The building is now home to American Red Cross & Roseburg Chiropractic as part of the Garden Valley Shopping Center.
