Located on N. Las Palmas Avenue, just south of Sunset Boulevard. The Hollywood Center Theatre was operating in the 1960’s as a mixed-use stage and film theatre. In 1969, it was hosting a private film club known as Theatre VII, which screened gay porn movies, and included live all-male stage shows at weekends.
Later known as the Hollywood Playhouse, by the mid-1980’s it had become the Howard Fine Acting Studio, which remains open today.
