Auto-Cine

The Auto-Cine was the first drive-In to open in Caracas and was also the first to open in South America. Located in the Los Chaguaramos district to the south-east of the city centre. It opened in 1949 with a capacity for 250 cars and 600 seats for walk-in persons. It also had a popular soda fountain named the Crystal Room. It operated until around 2006 and was demolished in 2008 for a shopping centre.

This one has been redeveloped into a shopping center. The address is actually Av. la Colina, Caracas 1041, Distrito Capital, Venezuela. The remains of the drive-in were still there until around 2005.
