Rialto Theatre

Soon after the Tulsa World Newspaper vacated its offices on West Third Street the building was renovated to become the (first) Rialto Theatre, located next door to the (first) Orpheum (AKA-Empress, Rialto) Theatre. The Rialto Theatre operated at this site until aprox 1923, then was razed to make way for a new Kress dime store.

Once the Rialto Theatre closed at this location, and the New Orpheum Theatre was constructed over on Fourth Street, the (first) Orpheum Theatre changed its name by moving Railto signage next door.

Due to the fact that Tulsa had two Rialto and two Orpheum theatres history is a bit confusing, but if you know more then please add it here.
