The Art Deco-styled Lane Theater in Williamsburg, Kentucky was opened on July 15, 1948 and closed in 1987.
A local non-profit organization has just purchased the theater and is in process of renovation and restoration as an arts and cultural center for this southeastern Kentucky town of 5,000 residents as the beginning project in Main Street revitalization.
